Game Rules
In order to maintain a good game environment, all players must abide by the following rules.
General Rules
In order to maintain the fairness of the MapleStory M game and a good game environment, and to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the majority of players, these rules are formulated. These rules apply to all MapleStory M players. Please read and abide by them carefully before entering the game.
The game management team has the right to deal with violations of the rules according to the actual situation, including but not limited to warnings, bans, account closures, and other measures. We reserve the right of final interpretation of these rules.
Account Rules
Account Security
Players should properly keep their accounts and passwords and must not lend their accounts to others. Players are responsible for any losses caused by account borrowing or improper password keeping.
Account Trading
Any form of account buying, selling, or trading is strictly prohibited. Once discovered, penalties will be imposed depending on the severity of the circumstances, and accounts will be permanently banned in severe cases.
Multiple Accounts
Players are allowed to have multiple accounts, but they must not use multiple accounts to farm resources, disrupt the game balance, or engage in other behaviors. Once discovered, penalties will be imposed depending on the severity of the circumstances.
Character Naming
Character names must not contain politically sensitive, pornographic, violent, discriminatory, or other inappropriate content, and must not impersonate official personnel or other well-known players. Violating names will be forced to be changed, and accounts will be banned in severe cases.
Game Behavior Rules
Hacks and Cheating
It is strictly prohibited to use any form of hacks, auxiliary programs, modifiers, or other third-party tools to play the game. Once discovered, the account will be permanently banned, and the right to pursue legal responsibility is reserved.
Game Bugs
Any game bugs discovered should be reported to the official immediately, and must not be used to obtain improper benefits. Those who maliciously use bugs will have their accounts banned and the improperly obtained game resources recovered.
Malicious AFK
It is prohibited to maliciously AFK for a long time to occupy server resources and affect the normal game experience of other players. Game administrators have the right to force players who have been AFK for a long time to log off.
Seizing Resources
It is prohibited to maliciously seize other players' game resources, such as monsters, gathering points, etc. Please respect other players and maintain good game order.
Communication Rules
Chat Content
It is prohibited to publish politically sensitive, pornographic, violent, discriminatory, or other inappropriate content in the game, and it is prohibited to publish advertisements or spam. Violators will be banned or have their accounts banned.
Harassment
It is prohibited to verbally harass, personally attack, maliciously stalk, or engage in other behaviors against other players. Respect others and build a harmonious game environment.
False Information
It is prohibited to spread false information, impersonate official personnel to issue announcements, or maliciously mislead other players. Once discovered, penalties will be imposed depending on the severity of the circumstances.
Transaction Scams
Any form of transaction scam is prohibited. When conducting in-game transactions, please use the official transaction system to avoid losses caused by private transactions.
Virtual Property Rules
Game Currency Trading
It is prohibited to buy or sell game currency, items, or other virtual property through third-party platforms. Once discovered, penalties will be imposed depending on the severity of the circumstances, and accounts will be permanently banned in severe cases.
Gold Farming
It is prohibited to obtain a large amount of game currency through abnormal game methods, such as using bugs or hacks. Once discovered, penalties will be imposed depending on the severity of the circumstances.
Item Ownership
The ownership of all virtual property in the game belongs to the game company, and players only have the right to use it. The game company has the right to adjust virtual property according to the needs of game operation.
Recharge Issues
Please recharge the game through official channels. The game company is not responsible for losses caused by recharging through unofficial channels. Please confirm your account information before recharging to avoid recharge errors.
Guild Rules
Guild Name
Guild names must not contain politically sensitive, pornographic, violent, discriminatory, or other inappropriate content, and must not impersonate official organizations. Violating names will be forced to be changed, and guilds will be disbanded in severe cases.
Guild Activities
Guild activities should comply with game rules and must not organize violating activities, such as collectively using hacks or maliciously occupying resources. Once discovered, penalties will be imposed depending on the severity of the circumstances.
Guild Disputes
Internal guild disputes should be resolved through self-negotiation and must not be cursed or attacked in public places such as world channels. If the game environment is seriously affected, the game administrator has the right to intervene.
Guild Dissolution
The guild leader should notify guild members in advance before dissolving the guild and properly handle guild assets. The game company is not responsible for losses caused by malicious dissolution of the guild.
Punishment Rules
For violations of the game rules, we will take corresponding penalties according to the severity of the violation:

Note: The game management team has the right to adjust the punishment measures according to the actual situation. Players who disagree with the punishment results can submit an appeal through customer service channels, and we will reply after verification.
Appeal Process
If you believe that you have been unfairly punished, you can appeal through the following process:
- Collect Evidence -Prepare relevant game screenshots, chat logs, and other evidence to support your appeal.
- Submit Appeal -Submit an appeal through the official customer service system, detailing the incident and your reasons for the appeal.
- Wait for Review -The customer service team will review the appeal within 5 working days of receiving it and provide a reply.
- Result Notification -The review result will be notified to you via in-game email or the contact information you provided.
Warm Reminder: Please remain rational and patient during the appeal process and provide true and accurate information. Maliciously or repeatedly submitting false appeals may result in your appeal rights being restricted.
Final Notes
These rules are effective from the date of publication, and the game management team has the right to modify and supplement the rules according to the needs of game operation. The modified rules will be announced on the official website and in the game.
